The remake of the 2009 film sees the same story as the original, it tell the story of journalist Mikael Blomkvist's (Daniel Craig) investigation to find out what happened to a woman from a wealthy family who disappeared 40 years before. He works with the help of computer hacker Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara). While the story is great, it doesn't beat the original. Although Mara's performance was great she doesn't have the edge that Noomi Rapace brings to the character of Lisbeth. This is one of the best remakes I know but I can only think of two things that I prefer about this one. 1) The chemistry between Craig and Mara is better than the original 2) The fact that it's in English makes it easier however the original being in swedish adds to its greatness so maybe my second point doesn't count. A great film remake that everyone should watch but like the original it has an awful rape scene but anyone who's a fan of good films should see this.
