The hunger games is based on the book by Suzanne Collins and has blown up on a massive scale. Due to an unseen uprising The Capitol create the annual hunger games where each of the 12 districts must offer up a boy and girl aged 12-18 to compete in a fight to the death until there remains the last standing victor. The film focuses on Katniss from the 12th and poorest district, volunteer as tribute in the place of her little sister Prim. Human survival is the main focus of this film and just what you're willing to do to survive but the shocking thing is the fact that the tributes are essentially children, and children killing children is always surprising. Fantastic film and sad and lovely and inspiring. A must see for anyone breathing.
